What are the school demographics?

Why this matters

Texas serves more than 5.5 million students, operating the second-largest public school system in the U.S. and educating one of the most diverse student populations in the country. Enrollment trends suggest the student population will soon be majority Hispanic. More than 60 years after Brown v. Board of Education, more than 1 million Black and Hispanic students study in Texas classrooms that include few to no white students.
